This week Mcklinky’s Blog Hop is favorite photo(s). The girls and I are working on a little project called “The ABC’s of our Hometown”. We have been brainstorming all of our favorite places in town and trying to find something that represents every letter of the alphabet. We are still working on a few letters and then we need to figure out exactly how we want to put it all together. The pictures I am sharing represent the letter “C”. After you check out these pictures, go to Simple Kids to check out my first children’s book review! It should be up sometime on Tuesday.
What do you do on a rainy Saturday?
Find every pillow and blanket in the house to make a pile and play SuperWoman, of course.
Or make signs for your rooms to try to keep your sisters out of your room.
Oh and there is always hula-hooping in the house.
It might be a really long day. . .
I can’t tell you how many times we have heard, “Aren’t you going to try for that boy?”
Well “that boy” in our house is always going to be daddy. We have three healthy, beautiful girls in this house and the only boy is their Dad. I have three “daddy’s girls”. When he walks in the door at night they still yell “Daddy”.
This picture was taken at the lake this weekend. I love to capture the private moments that Chad shares with each of his girls.
I am adding this picture to Lolli’s “Give Me Your Best Shot”.
“Excovering” – my six year old said this word this weekend. We said what is that? I guess it is Exploring and Discovering. Which is exactly what we have been trying to do with our kids all summer.
Today we are joining Angie over at Seven Clown Circus for Wordful Wednesday. . .because anyone that know me knows that I am Word Girl and Wordless isn’t really possible for me. So join in the fun.

Today we are Excovering Grandpa’s Corn Field. Thought I would share a few pictures.
Nadia even poses in the corn. Whenever I am just about to take a picture, she raises her arm?! That must be her signature model move.
Taylor playing secret agent in the corn.
Madelyn in her signature ponytail and headband.
Daddy looking like he is in heaven in the middle of a corn field.
Oh wait! Is that a picture of me? That can’t be, if you look through our pictures I don’t belong in this family. There is no record of me in photographs. . .
I am trying to keep my eyes open this morning. We ran and ran and ran this weekend and relaxed at the same time. (Is that possible). We got home last night and then headed to a birthday party until bedtime.
I am sharing these pictures from our weekend with Emily at Chatting at the Sky for Tuesday’s Unwrapped. I feel so blessed to get away from it all as a family and spend some quality time together.
I had to share a few pictures with you from the weekend. It was filled with camping, family time at Grandpa’s farm, and a family reunion. My sister-in-law is a teacher and she just took a class on the brain. She said that she learned that brain cells are built by experiences. Our kids should be smart because we try to give them as many experiences that we can. Here a just a few. . .
Playing with the kittens at the farm.
Taking turns driving the tractor.
Hiding in the corn.
Exploring in the soybean field.
Searching for shells.
Brainquest around the fire (building those brain cells with new experiences and brain games!)
Roasting hot dogs on the fire.
Sunset on the Lake.
Pool time with the cousins.
