We've been making gingerbread houses every year since 1992. My kids are getting older now and don't need as much help. I thought my 6th grade son might not be interested this year. We're going to use the pre-made kit and add our own decorations. This is to save Mommy some stress. Then maybe we can all enjoy it!! Brent picked up the kit at Sam's Club, but I think I saw something similar at Alco. . . and adding your own decorations instead of the ones provided kind of "make it your own". I've made graham cracker houses before, but not real gingerbread ones. They turned out really cute and Jeff had a lot of fun with it. We’re going to decorate a gingerbread house too.
