Of course, it always ensues great messes. But it's also one of the only times that I feel very victorious as a mamma in that I'm imparting something to my littles that they can use all of their lives. We love to make cake. I actually just posted a recipe on my blog for blondies that is terrific to do with little ones! I found your blog through TGC today. Take care! I don't let my kids help in the kitchen often because I hate the mess. I am getting better though b/c my 6 year old keeps asking me how to cook so I'm starting to teach her. I love being a memory maker and a memory keeper. I'm looking forward to reading all the great ideas you've shared about making an unforgettable childhood for our children. :) I just captured my 2 year old the other day on film helping me make some brownies. It's a stretch for me to remember to let them help because sometimes I just want to get things done. But, I never regret letting go of my schedule and other hang-ups to encourage them to love making things with Mommy. Oh, this is a blog after my own heart!!!!!!
